Designer, Photographer, & Artist

The last year or so of my life has definitely be fast and hectic! Talk about some chaos, but I love it. I realize it has been a while since I have added anything to this site, but life took over for a bit. About two years ago, I was diagnosed with chronic migraines, the daily kind. After going to numerous doctors and nuerologists, it was determined that I shouldn’t do any graphic design until we knew the cause of them. Alas, two years later, there is no knowledge of why I get them.

I gave up working on Graphic Design to do some work for a family member with data tracking. Then after that short bit of time of numerous doctors, and missing my family, I moved back to Iowa. I still get migraines on a regular basis, and I still have a hectic job. Honestly, my high stress environments may be the reason I get them. I am currently working at a medical staffing agency, and I help staff facilities when they are in need of nurses or aides. I send them the people they need, and I get tons of gratitude and praise in return.

My job is still as high stress as can be, and I am still working on computers. However, I haven’t done any design in the last two years…nothing to keep with the times or just to keep my ability tuned in. I do miss it, everyday. I know one day, I will be able to start doing it again. Until then, I am going to just keep learning about new processes, and hopefully, get back to blogging about it. If I can at least provide helpful information to someone else, at least that counts for something.

I was writing a textbook on typography, maybe it is time to get back to reviewing that? Maybe there are questions I can answer for someone out there? I am still going to be around in the Graphic Design world – trust me.

Until next time (hopefully not too far off),

Casey Rae
